Success of the 19th edition of International Cooking Day!
The event attracted large crowds who had the opportunity to try dishes from different parts of the world. There were stands representing cuisines from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Japan, Spain, Georgia, Tatarstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ireland and Poland, with as many as three stands. Additionally, participants enjoyed sweets from Team Wikusia. During the event, we managed to collect as much as PLN 6,000! This is almost twice the result from last year's edition!
The support of local institutions was crucial. The Novo Sądecka Restaurant, the Secondary School Complex in Nawojowa and the School Complex No. 1 in Nowy Sącz actively supported the Polish stands. The event partners also provided professional kitchen conditions, enabling students to prepare dishes.
This extraordinary event not only offered the opportunity for a culinary journey around the world, but above all, it united people around a noble goal. The involvement of the academic and local communities, warmth and good fun made the 19th edition of International Cooking Day not only a festival of flavors, but also an expression of solidarity and help for those in need.
We would also like to thank the students who wanted to lead the meeting during the Children's University of the First Age WSB-NLU and presented the youngest interesting facts from their countries.
